Altogether 43 Hungarians have been flown home from Israel in connection with the novel coronavirus epidemic, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday evening.
The plane carrying the Hungarians and 31 Austrian, German, Czech and Slovak citizens landed at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International on Thursday, Szijjártó said in a video posted on Facebook.
The government has so far helped 3,700 Hungarian citizens return home since the outbreak, and is working to bring all Hungarians home, he said.
During talks in Sofia on Thursday, his Bulgarian counterpart agreed that nine Hungarians can have seats on a Bulgarian plane from Delhi to Sofia, from where they will return to Hungary.
