Ruling Fidesz communications director said the opposition was “once again, lying” when it said the European Union was offering support to Hungary for protective measures against the novel coronavirus.
Brussels is not offering any new resources to Hungary, István Hollik said in a video message on Facebook on Saturday.
The government has so far spent 245 billion forints (EUR 685 million) on protection against the novel coronavirus, he said. “What’s more, it is an allocation open from the top,” he added.
All resources are available to protect the health of Hungarians and alleviate the damage caused by the pandemic, he said.
