Hungarian European Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi went into quarantine on Monday after an immediate colleague tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
“I was informed today that a member of my team tested positive for #COVID19. Pending new test results, myself and team members concerned are self-isolating in line with public health guidelines and teleworking. I feel well, have no symptoms, my tests in past week were negative,” Várhelyi, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, said on Twitter.
Várhelyi last week held talks in several Balkan countries.
