Coronavirus: 38 Fatalities, Infections Up 1820 in Last 24 Hours

A total of 38 COVID-19 patients died in the past 24 hours, and registered coronavirus infections rose by 1860 to 56,098, the official coronavirus information website, said on Saturday.

With the new fatalities, the death toll rose to 1,390, while 16,007 people have made a recovery. There are 38,701 active infections, out of which 2,245 patients are hospitalised and 205 needs ventilator treatment. Fully 27,859 people are in official home quarantine, while the number of tests carried out stands at 961,441.

Most infections have been registered in Budapest (16,472), followed by Pest County (6,998) and the counties of Győr-Moson-Sopron (3,511), Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (3,275), Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (2,851), Hajdú-Bihar (2,767), and Csongrád-Csanád (2,456). Tolna (580) and Békés (843) counties have the fewest infections.
