In total, 32 healthcare workers have died so far from the coronavirus. To amount to this total, deaths had doubled in the last nine days, and tripled in the last two weeks, tabloid Blikk wrote in reference to Hungarian Medical Chamber’s (MOK) data.
Among the healthcare workers in general, GPs appear to be the most vulnerable: to date, nine of them and one assistant have died due to the infection.
Nurses and paramedics are also extremely exposed to the epidemic, as six from each group lost their lives so far, including two more frontline workers.
