The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Hungary has risen to 73, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.
Yesterday morning, the number of cases was 58.
Of the patients 62 are Hungarians, 9 are Iranian, one is British and another is Kazakh, the website said.
So far, two have recovered and one has died.
Currently, 124 people are quarantined and the authorities have taken 2,322 samples, the website said.
The government information website on novel coronavirus noted that the Covid-19 epidemic has reached a new phase in the country, spreading in clusters, not just from one individual to another. It is now impossible to trace individual cases, it said.
The website stressed that people, especially the elderly and young people, should not leave their homes and observe the rules concerning the epidemic.
