Coronavirus: 206 Deaths, 6296 New Infections Registered in Hungary

206 patients died over the past 24 hours, while 6,296 new infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Sunday.

The number of active infections has risen to 270,353, while hospitals are caring for 10,484 Covid patients,  1,290 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the first outbreak, 720,164 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 23,417. Fully 426,394 people have made a recovery.

There are 44,370 people in official quarantine, while 4,934,786 tests have been officially carried out.

So far 2,835,894 people have received a first jab, while 1,197,685 have been fully vaccinated.

On March 5, the government announced further strict measures, but the reopening has started, since the number of people vaccinated with the first jab has reached 2.5 million.
