Output of Hungary’s construction sector climbed 17.8 percent year on year in September, unadjusted data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday show.
Output of the buildings segment was up 18.7 percent, lifted by construction of residential, cultural and industrial buildings, KSH said. Civil engineering output rose by 17.2 percent, helped by road and railway developments.
In a month-on-month comparison, construction output rose by 5.2 percent, adjusted for seasonal and workday effects.
For the period January-September, output was up 28.0 percent year on year.
