Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog is to visit Poland and take part at the central commemoration on the seventieth anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp representing President János Áder, the Ministry of Human Resources (Emmi) disclosed to the state news agency MTI on Thursday.
Other members of the Ministry’s delegation will include Deputy State Secretary responsible for international and European Union affairs Gergely Prőhle and Deputy State Secretary for higher education Zoltán Maruzsa.
During his visit to Poland, Minister Balog will take part at several bilateral meetings. On Monday, he will be received by Lutheran bishop Jerzy Samiec and Calvinist bishop Marek Izdebski, before meeting Polish Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz. He will then hold talks with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Policy Lena Kolarska-Bobinska and give a lecture at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, following which he is scheduled to meet Archbishop of Warsaw Kazimierz Nycz.
He will spend the following day in Cracow, meeting Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, Archbishop of the city, before visiting Cracow’s National Cultural Centre and having a work lunch with Polish Minister of Culture Malgorzata Omilanowska.
