The municipality of Budapest has ordered an investigation into a “high ratio” of coronavirus infections in a seniors’ home in the city’s northern district 4, the municipality said on Monday.
The head of the home has been suspended from their post, it said.
The municipality and the local public health authority have devised a plan of action to contain the spread of the virus, including more frequent coronavirus screening of the staff, hospitalisation of residents testing positive and isolation of residents free of the infection, the municipality said in a statement.
