Budapest Airport Named Best In The Region For Second Year

By Ferenc Sullivan // 2015.03.13.

Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport was last night named as winner of ‘Best Airport – Eastern Europe’ at the Skytrax World Airport Awards ceremony at the Passenger Terminal EXPO 2015 conference and exhibition in Paris. It is the second consecutive year the airport has received the honour, having also won the title in 2014.

The results of the Skytrax Awards are based on the world’s largest customer satisfaction survey, completed by airport passengers from over 160 countries. Evaluating airports across 39 services and product features, from arrival to departure, passengers are expected to make their own, real, honest choices – underlining the established Skytrax brand as the Passenger Choice Awards. Having held second and third place in its category for the last four years, Budapest Airport’s growing popularity is evident in this year’s results.
“The Skytrax Award to the best airport in Eastern Europe is of the most highly acclaimed professional recognitions in international air traffic. It is also a very important feedback both to us and to all airport partners and service providers that last year’s victory was not a one-off success. We have proven our ability not only to maintain but also to further increase the quality of our services and our outstanding performance”, CEO of Budapest Airport Jost Lammers said.
