Budapest 2017 – What Happened This Past Weekend At the FINA Water World Cup – Results Summary

The 17th FINA World Aquatics Championships continued on Monday with several exciting competitions both in Budapest and Balatonfüred. The championships, which run until July 30, feature some 2,000 athletes from over 180 countries competing across six disciplines. Here below you can find the most important results of the last three days.


Diving – Woman 3m Springboard

Tingmao Shi from China won the golden medal with 383.50 points

Synchronized Swimming – Women Team Free

The Russian women team made the best show in the pool as they got 97.3000 points and the gold medal.


Open Water Swimming – Women 25km

Ana Marcela Cunha from Brasil bagged the gold with her 5:21:58:40 time.



Diving – Men 10m Platform

British Thomas Daley became the first with his 590.95 points collected.

Synchronized Swimming – Women Team Free Competition

The Chinese ladies won the competition with 96.10000 points

Synchronized Swimming – Mixed Duett Free

The Russian duet of Mikhaela Kalancha and Aleksandr Maltsev earned 92.6000 points and won the competition.



Swimming – Men 4x100m Freestyle Relay and Women 4x100m Freestyle Relay and Women 400m freestyle were won by the American teams.

Although the American team grabbed the gold on men 4x100m Freestyle Relay, the Hungarian boys stood on the podium with the bronze medal.

Men 400m Freestyle competition’s gold was captured by the Chinese Yang Sun.
