Perspective plans have been revealed of an investment to transform an area of southern Buda into a an ultra-modern residential and office quarter.

According to plans, 65 per cent of the neighbourhood, which is to comprise Kopaszi-gát, a popular recreational area at the Buda bridgehead of the Rákóczi bridge, District XI, will be covered by public parks and water surfaces.

The BudaPart concept, established by Danish urban designers Adept, foresees the construction of residential buildings and A+-rated office blocks between 15 and 35 thousand square metres in size in the new neighbourhood. District XI, which at over 150 000 has the largest population of all of Budapest’s districts, is currently a highly desirable location on both the residential and the office property market. The popular public park at Kopaszi-gát will remain open to the public, with residential buildings and environmentally friendly, state-of-the-art office buildings set to be erected in areas currently out of use.4

The area’s popularity is enhanced further by increased accessibility through the lengthening of tram line no. 1 and metro line no. 4. The majority of the sunny apartments, with balconies or terraces included, will offer stunning views of Lágymányos Bay and the River Danube.
