Another great Hollywood production will be coming to Hungary in this summer, as scenes of Avatar 2 will reportedly be shot in Budapest.
Hungarian stunt expert Gábor Piroch will also be contributing to the film.
“I work on two movies in Hollywood, one of them is Avatar 2, I arranged the working environment for the stuff in Budapest”
Gábor told Bors.hu. He also managed the action scenes in the movie Inferno, in which Tom Hanks played the starring role.
After years of procrastination, James Cameron has started to shoot the sequel to his 2009 blockbuster, and is in fact planning on making a total of four films. The movies are set to be released between 2022 and 2025. The next Avatar episodes will deal with similar topics seen in the first one: the environment and the spirituality of the settlers of Pandora will still be important. Cameron thinks that those who loved the first movie will love the sequels just as much.
Story details remain unclear, but Sam Worthington (Jake Sully) and Zoe Saldana (Neytiri) – who played the main roles in the previous installment– are back, along with Sigourney Weaver (playing Dr. Grace Augustine) and Stephen Lang (who will reprise his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch).
