Applications Open for ReConnect Birthright Program for Young Hungarian-Americans

ReConnect Hungary opened applications for the next annual Hungarian Birthright trip scheduled to be held between the 14th and 30th of June 2019. Young Hungarian-American participants will be able to learn more about their roots and how culture, tradition and heritage are vital to self-discovery and a successful future.

The Birthright Program gives young people with any degree of Hungarian heritage—especially those who don’t speak the language— a chance to rediscover their Hungarian self on an almost three-week-long visit to the land of their ancestors and its surrounding countries.

ReConnect Hungary is a unique cultural, educational and social immersion program for young adults aged 18-28 of Hungarian heritage, born in either the U.S. or Canada. Eligible participants must be of Hungarian heritage and can’t have lived in Hungary past the age of 12. Applications are open until January, 31, 2019, and can be found on ReConnect Hungary’s website.
