Advent Tram in Miskolc: Travel on a Spectacular Gingerbread House!

The Miskolc Advent tram, dressed in festive decorations, was launched on December 1st this year. The tram has been enthusiastically decorated by employees of the city’s transport company (MVK) for the eighth year. This year, the decoration resembles a gingerbread house, and even a beehive oven and a kitchen are placed on the public transport vehicle.

A special feature of the tram is that its theme and decorations are changed every year, enriched with new design elements. Last year, a magical hand-painted ice palace awaited passengers, and this year the MVK staff made a charming gingerbread house.

The festive feeling of the tram is completed by its exterior. Hundreds of meters of fairy lights, numerous light curtains, and 3D elements adorn the Advent vehicle. The interior of the tram has also been renewed, and this year, instead of a traditional fireplace, a cozy beehive oven is situated in the middle.

Beside the oven, Puszedli the witch and Zserbó the kitty are watching over the gingerbread house and the passengers. The middle part of the tram is the kitchen of the cottage, and its two ends have been turned into living rooms with wonderful Advent decorations.

Last year, Vilmos (William) Advent and Vilma Advent greeted the Advent tram passengers in Miskolc. This year, Manci Mézes and Marci Marcipán are the hosts.

The Advent tram runs in Miskolc from the first Sunday in December to January 6, 2020 between the Tiszai Railway Station and the Felső-Majláth Terminal.
