The traditional Jazzma.hu editorial vote for Hungary’s best jazz musicians of the year saw the rise of young artists.

The music portal first organized the voting at the end of 2014, and this is the ninth editorial ballot. This time, twenty staff members voted, MTI reports.

In the album of the year category, the Nagy Emma Quintet won with their album Synched.

The best male singer of the year was Tamás Berki, and best female singer of the year was Emma Nagy.

Legendary Hungarian jazz pianist and composer Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, who died in October, was voted the best composer of the year.

The full list of the best of the best is available here.
