Suzuki to Increase Wages Next Year

The Hungarian subsidiary of Japanese automobile company Suzuki (Magyar Suzuki Zrt.) will raise wages by an average of 20 percent next year, the company told MTI, after reaching an agreement with the factory council.

According to their statement, the company has also earmarked a performance-related bonus of one and a half months in 2023. The half-month part of this bonus will be paid in June, while the full monthly amount will be paid at the end of the year. According to MTI, it was announced that the one-month bonus foreseen for this year has already been paid this month.

The company said that the funds for non-wage benefits may increase next year. Hot and cold meals will continue to be provided as an extra benefit, and bus service will transport workers to the factory from the surrounding villages. Annual health check-ups and increased marriage, childbirth, and funeral allowances are available, they said.
