Those who want to get a Moderna vaccine against the coronavirus should hurry because the last batches are being used at vaccination centers and GPs, according to the official government coronavirus website, koronavirus.gov.hu.

Hungary has received 1.7 million doses of the Moderna vaccine under the EU procurement, of which the last doses are now being used for vaccination.

When Moderna runs out, three types of vaccines will remain on the market in Hungary: Pfizer, Sinopharm, and Janssen.

According to official data, 6.2 million people got two vaccinations in Hungary, and there are 3.9 million who also have the third. During last week, 18,000 new patients were diagnosed with Covid-19.

The pandemic has been going on throughout the world for two and a half years, but it does not seem to be disappearing and people still need to be careful. The National Center for Public Health reported on its website on Wednesday that the national average concentration of coronavirus in wastewater continues to rise in Hungary. In the 31st week, an upward trend was observed in the tested settlements of the Budapest agglomeration and other big rural cities such as Szeged, near the southern border, and Győr, near the Austrian border.
