Hadházy Hopes Public Health Center Suing Him Reveals Efficacy of Eastern Vaccines

Hungary Today 2022.01.10.

Independent MP Ákos Hadházy claims that the statement from the national public health center (NNK) is  “Funny, sad, and outrageously audacious,” arguing that he hopes he will indeed be sued, as in that case the documents about the Eastern vaccines’ efficacy would be have to be made public as well.

Last week, Hadházy announced he would press charges in reaction to news about the problematic and incomplete licensing procedure of the Eastern vaccines (Russia’s Sputnik V and China’s Sinopharm), in addition to alleged political pressure. Among other things, some of the tests specified by the manufacturer were not completed and several important parameters affecting efficacy and safety were missing at the time the authorization was granted.

In response, NNK then stated they would sue Hadházy for alleged violation of personal rights (for using the chief medical officer’s photo in his social media post) and defamation, arguing that the authoritative body and the chief medical officer did not act as a licensing authority for the issuance of distribution permits for vaccines. Furthermore, that distribution permits were issued by the authority in line with the law and the vaccines have been in use accordingly. In NNK’s view, Hadházy’s actions also posed a “direct and severe threat” to epidemiological protection.

Hadházy now says he wants to go to court, and is asking the NNK to sue him for libel instead of defamation, otherwise the Parliament won’t waive his immunity, “which the NNK knows very well.”

I would very much like to see a lawsuit, because then they would finally have to release data about the efficacy of the Eastern vaccines, which they are keeping completely classified.”

“It’s audacious and sad that a government that has been trying to hide for a year that it was administering Russian and Chinese vaccines to the country amid the definite and obvious serious concerns of experts, thinks that it can get away with such shoddy communication phrases (sue Hadházy),” he also explains, insisting that those who are responsible for the case should go to jail and that “in the case of a change in government they wouldn’t escape prosecution.”
