Army Program’s Final Airbus H145m Helicopter Arrives in Hungary

MTI-Hungary Today 2021.12.04.

The last newly purchased Airbus H145M medium-sized military multirole helicopter to complete a fleet of 20 landed at a military base in Szolnok, in central Hungary, on Friday.

The helicopter arrived from Airbus’s Donauwoerth plant in Germany, Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, the chief of the Hungarian armed forces, told a press conference at the base. It was escorted to Szolnok by a Mi-17 and a Mi-24 helicopter.

The H145M has been purchased in the framework of Hungary’s Zrínyi 2026 large-scale army development program.

“The delivery of the helicopter marked the end of an important phase of the development of the armed forces’ modern rotary capabilities,” the army chief said, adding that the army development program “is alive and will continue”.
