In order to further increase vaccination coverage and control the epidemic, a Vaccination Action Week was announced at hospital vaccination points between November 22-28, 2021. The week proved to be successful, so the government has decided to extend the campaign for a further week. Hospitals across the country are now expecting increased vaccination capacity until December 5th, with no registration required. We looked behind the numbers of the first week of the campaign.

The koronavirus.gov.hu website shares the coronavirus numbers, the most recent of which can be seen here.

The data shared on Mondays always includes the numbers from the weekend as well. Therefore, it is possible to look at them in order to see what changed after the first Vaccination Action Week.

As it turns out from the numbers, mainly those people took advantage of the campaign who wanted to receive a third booster vaccination.

While the most important goal would probably be to vaccinate those who have not gotten one at all yet, the Vaccination Action Week was still successful, as can be seen from the numbers.

Therefore, koronavirus.gov.hu states that the government has extended the vaccination action week, which started on November 22nd, by one week, until Sunday evening, December 5th. “The vaccination points are open every day from 7 am to 7 pm. Hospitals across the country are expecting increased vaccination capacity. Unvaccinated people can arrive at the vaccination point without prior registration, in which case they will be registered on the spot. Those who arrive without an appointment will be vaccinated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those who have pre-registered and booked an appointment online can avoid waiting.”

Those who are still unvaccinated are urged to take the vaccine as soon as possible, as the delta virus mutation now circulating is the most dangerous one, capable of causing serious illness.”

Those arriving for vaccination are asked to bring an ID card, social security card, and, in the case of second and third vaccination, documents proving previous vaccination. It will greatly speed up the vaccination process if a printed, completed, and signed Declaration of Consent form (also required for the third vaccination) is brought. A face mask is also required.
