Coronavirus: No Fatalities Registered in Hungary for First Time in 10 Months

No one died from the coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Hungary, but 32 new infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Wednesday. It was back in September 6th, 2020, that Hungary last registered zero Covid-related fatalities within 24 hours.

Since the first outbreak, 808,160 infections have been registered, while fatalities stands at 29,992. Fully 739,204 people have made a recovery.

The number of active infections has declined to 38,964 , while hospitals are treating 116 Covid patients, 20 of whom need respiratory assistance.

There are 1,998 people in official quarantine, while 6,138,529 tests have been officially carried out.

So far 5,493,609 people have received a first jab, while 4,958,805 have been fully vaccinated.

On May 21, the Hungarian government announced that most of Hungary’s remaining restrictions would be lifted upon reaching five million vaccinations.
