Some 31,000 applications have been received so far for state-subsidised prenatal baby support loans and 18,800 related contracts have been concluded with banks, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office said on Thursday.
Eighty-eight percent of the applications was for the maximum 10 million forints (EUR 30,210) loan provided under the government’s family protection scheme, Gergely Gulyás told a regular press briefing.
The amount of loans granted by banks under the contracts totals 181.5 billion forints, he said.
