The most modern combat equipment of the Hungarian Defense Forces will be on display the first weekend of September at this year’s International Horse and Greyhound Competition and Food Truck Show, writes honvedelem.hu.
During the three-day program, the only horse-racing track in Hungary will offer a varied and colorful program. On Friday, the greyhound race will be the main event, followed by the equestrian events on Saturday and Sunday. The program will also include the first-ever Great Equestrian Competition for young people, during which anyone can find out about the various equestrian sports and riding opportunities in the country.

On Saturday’s featured gallop day, the Kincsem, Imperial, and Overdose prizes will be up for grabs, with thoroughbreds from England also coming to compete in an unprecedented way, adding a special weight to the event.

In addition to the fantastic horses, we welcome a true world star in the saddle. Racing’s Messiah, Frankie Dettori, the world’s most famous jockey, will ride in six races on Saturday. The event will also include a demonstration by the Count Ferenc Nádasdy Hussar Class of the Hungarian Defense Forces, a military band, and a rare helicopter ride.
The Hungarian Defense Forces will be represented at the event, where visitors will be able to see almost all of the latest combat vehicles recently acquired,
such as the Leopard 2A4 medium tank, the Gidrans, the PZH2000 self-propelled gun, and the brand new LYNX KF41 infantry fighting vehicle.
