Miklós Lendvai started his career in Zalaegerszeg in 1991, and played most of his professional football in Hungary for the Zala team, but also made a spell at the Budapest club Ferencváros.

He has also played abroad for Girondins Bordeaux and Lugano in France, and in Belgium for Beerschot and Geel. As a professional, however, he played most of his matches for Charleroi.
In Hungary, Miklós Lendvai was remembered with a moment of silence at the first and second division league matches at the end of last week. ZTE players took to the pitch with a black ribbon during a home game, and fans also unfurled a banner in memory of their former player.
