This Year’s Art Market Budapest and 360 Design Budapest Promises a Rich Program

MTI-Hungary Today 2022.07.28.

The 360 Design Budapest series of events organized by Art Market Budapest and the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (MDDÜ) will offer even more special programs this autumn, the organizers of Art Market Budapest informed MTI on Wednesday.

Art Market Budapest and MMDÜ are partnering for the second time to effectively raise awareness of the connections between the two fields among the public open to contemporary art and to promote the exploitation of synergies between the two, they said.

For the 12th time, Art Market Budapest will host contemporary art enthusiasts in Budapest from October 6 to 9. The most important international contemporary art fair in Central and Eastern Europe will present a selection of around 120 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries at the Bálna Budapest, with a number of thematic events to accompany the fair.

The MDDÜ is organizing 360 Design Budapest for the third time. This selection of national and regional design scene players will present their objects to the public in a creative and innovative way.

The aim of the event is to raise the profile of Hungarian and regional designers and to help Hungarian design brands enter the international market. The exhibition will be accompanied by a rich series of events: lectures, round-table discussions, and exclusive guided tours.

One of the partnership’s key elements is a professional meeting called Inside Art & Design, which will specifically explore the interrelationship between art and design, with the participation of renowned international speakers, world-renowned experts, round-table discussions, and guided tours.

The brochure quotes Anita Forintos-Szűcs, Deputy CEO of MDDÜ, who stressed that “following last year’s successful collaboration, this year we would like to strengthen our professional relationship with Art Market, so together we have conceived Inside Art & Design, a dedicated day to bring together the fields of art and design.”
