Hungarian police confirmed they are investigating a homicide case in connection with the disappearance of former Hungarian reality show participant Fanni Novozánszki, Hungarian tabloid bors.hu reported.
Known as „VV Fanni” in Hungarian media, the 24-year-old celebrity was reported missing from her luxury apartment in Budapest on 20th of November. Since she has been allegedly working as an “escort girl” and “erotic model”, first media reports suggested she might have been kidnapped and taken to a German brothel.
However, bors.hu later reported that police found camera footage of a man, probably a client, showing up in Fanni’s apartment and later leaving with the young woman’s body in his arms. Using CCTV cameras, police followed the suspect’s way to the town of Dunaújváros, 70 km south of Budapest. The man was arrested there, while a crowbar, a knife and a weapon – signs of a deliberate murder – were reportedly found in his car.
According to the tabloid, the first letters of the name of the suspect are “B.L.” and the man is known as a former local Socialist politician. The paper also spoke to Fanni’s mother who said she was 99,9 percent sure that her daughter has died. However, the body is still missing and reports suggest it might have been thrown into the Danube. The police is not only searching a missing person now but also investigating a homicide case.
