A number of roads and public spaces of Budapest have been sealed off for Wednesday and Thursday in several phases on the route of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his delegation in the Hungarian capital.
According to the statement released by Foreign Ministry, Péter Szijjártó will be receiving Russian Minister of Health Veronica Skvortsova on Wednesday afternoon, followed by a meeting with CEO of Rosatom Aleksey Likhachev. On Wednesday evening, Szijjártó will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, while on Thursday morning he will meet with Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov”.
Vladimir Putin is expected to arrive in Budapest at around midday on Thursday. After landing at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, the Russian President will be received by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the Parliament building. The two leaders will give a joint press conference in the afternoon.
The visit of the Russian delegation is secured by the Hungarian Counter-Terrorism Centre (TEK). The road restrictions will affect the area of the Budapest Airport, some parts of the M0 and M3 motorways in particular as well as the Andrássy boulvard the central (5th, 6th) districts of Budapest.
