Szilvásávárad is filled with magical places to visit; the forest, stampede, and the Szalajka-valley are all waiting to enchant you. This district around the town of Szilvásvárad is part of the Bükk National Park and nature reserve.
The Lipizzaner stampede began at Csipkekút in 1952. In 1966, the old industrial railway was turned into a smaller holiday line. In 1976, the horse rider’s stadium opened its doors at the Szalajka-valley, where competitions for riders are held annually. It is also worthwhile to visit the Orbán-house, opened in 1983.
