Note from the Editors: Website Update

Dear Readers,

According to Hungarian tradition, St. Nicholas arrives every year on the night of his feast day (Dec. 6th), leaving chocolates and other presents for well-behaved children. Well, it would seem that we at Hungary Today have been at least moderately good, as this year we have received a new webiste, courtesy of both St. Nicholas and our own magical IT elves.

In order to make our articles more accessible for our readers, we have recently overhauled our site’s appearance. Our goal with this update has been to create a more interesting website, one whose visual style and accessibility will enable our readers to more easily and pleasantly access our content.

By way of reference, this is what the new page looks like:

If Hungary Today’s homepage does not look like this in your browser (for example, if it is just a series of empty blue boxes), then all you need to do is go into your web browser’s ‘history’ options, and delete all tracking cookies and ‘cached images and files.’ This should clear out the data your browser has stored on the old site, and allow you to browse the updated version without any further difficulty.

At the end yet another year, we would also like to take a moment to thank you, our readers, for supporting us as we have slowly, but surely grown over the past three years. Thanks to you, Hungary Today now has over 35,000 likes on Facebook, over 2,000 followers on Instagram, and over 3,000 on Twitter. Your feedback, your constructive criticism, and above all your readership have proven invaluable as we work to create the best news site that we can.

We hope you like the new look of our website, and that you continue to enjoy the content that we provide. Our editorial staff continues, as always, to work to provide objective and wide-ranging news on Hungary and Hungarians throughout the world, and we look forward to ringing in yet another successful year with your readership and support.

Happy reading!
