Zsa Zsa Gabor, Hungarian-born actress and socialite, who made a career out of multiple marriages, conspicuous wealth and jaded wisdom about the glamorous life, has died of a heart attack at her Los Angeles home, her husband Frederic von Anhalt told media. She was 99.
Born in Budapest on 6th of February 1917, Zsa Zsa Gabor began her career in Vienna and was crowned Miss Hungary in 1936. In 1941, she emigrated to the United States and thanks to her “European flair and style” and her personality that exuded charm and grace, she became a highly sought-after actress. She had roles in the Lovely to Look At, We’re Not Married! and she had leading role in the Moulin Rouge, directed by John Huston.
Outside of her acting career, Gabor is best known for having nine husbands, including hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and actor George Sanders. The 99-year-old actress has got many diseases in the last years. After her car accident in 2002, she has been partly paralyzed, later she lost her right foot and she had two strokes too.
