The 17th FINA World Aquatics Championships continued on Wednesday with a number of exciting events in Budapest. The aquatics championships, which run until July 30, feature some 2,000 athletes from over 180 countries competing across six disciplines. WEDNESDAY – 26 JULY
Mixed 4×100 m medley relay
The United States won the mixed 4×100 m medley relay event with a world record of 3:38.56 minutes in Budapest on Wednesday. The US relay broke its own world record of 3:40.28 clocked this morning.

Men’s 800 m freestyle event
Gabriele Detti of Italy won the men’s 800 m freestyle event in Budapest on Wednesday.

Men’s 200 m butterfly
Chad le Clos of the Republic of South Africa won the men’s 200 m butterfly event in Budapest on Wednesday. Hungary’s László Cseh earned the silver medal, while Tamás Kenderesi finished 4th-placed. László Cseh’s silver medal is the first silver for Hungary at the 17th FINA World Aquatics Championships.

Women’s 200 m freestyle
Federica Pellegrini of Italy won the women’s 200 m freestyle event in the 17th World Aquatics Championships in Budapest on Wednesday. Hungary’s Katinka Hosszú finished 7th-placed.

Women’s water polo – semi finals & classification

The winners will play for 5th place and the losers for 7th on Friday.
